Background
Inspired by the “Each
one teach one” movement, a group of young professionals came together in 2009 and started teaching underprivileged kids (mostly beggars) in Mehrauli Village near Qutab Minar. Those children were
admitted to Government Schools and were given bridge classes as per their
needs. They were also provided Basic computer training, English coaching and
personality grooming classes.
With a view to
providing a common platform for others with similar philanthropist thoughts and
take further initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of
underprivileged children, their families and communities, we registered a Trust
named “Navkriti Foundation”.
Vision
In our NGO, Navkriti Foundation our team is dedicated to working for the betterment of underprivileged kids and youth. We are also working for the protection of Child Rights with an emphasis on Right to Education & abolishment of Child labour. Apart from organizing education awareness campaigns in all over Gurgaon, we are running after school classes near the slums of Sector-45 Gurgaon that has strength of over 200 children. This school is being run with a view to providing remedial/bridge classes to children admitted into schools by our NGO under Right to Education Act’ 2009.
