Navkriti Foundation started giving free classes to underprivileged children. We established this temporary school at Slums in Sector-45. There are around 200 students out of which 100 were not enrolled in any school while many other who were studying in 4th or 5th standard were not able to recite even ABCD properly.
We admitted most of the children into nearby schools and made sure that they do not drop out from formal schooling. To ensure it, we help them in their homework and give them improvement classes. We helped them by providing them with necessary stationery, Pencil boxes, Bags and uniforms etc. We also organize health check up camps (thanks to the team of Doctors at Mayom Hospital, Gurgaon) at the class venue to keep a track of their health and fitness as well.
We have 4 regular teachers, while 4 extra curricular teachers visit twice or thrice a week to train these kids. Apart from formal education (improvement classes) , We also work for their skill development by providing life-skill training, English Coaching, Art & Craft and Elementary computer training to these kids.
